Step-by-Step Guide

1

Back up your iPad

Go to Settings → your name → iCloud → iCloud Backup → Back Up Now, or use Finder/iTunes on a computer.

2

Check important apps

Make sure banking apps, GCash, Maya, email, Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, Viber, and authenticator apps are transferred or accessible.

3

Sign out of Apple Account

Go to Settings → your name → Sign Out. This helps remove Find My iPad and Activation Lock.

4

Remove SIM or erase eSIM

If your iPad has cellular, remove the physical SIM. If it uses eSIM, erase the eSIM during reset if you will not use it anymore.

5

Erase the iPad

Go to Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPad → Erase All Content and Settings.

6

Enter passcode if asked

Enter your iPad passcode and Apple Account password when requested.

7

What the Buyer Should See

The buyer should only see the first setup screen, usually “Hello” or “Choose Language.” If your Apple Account still appears, the reset is not complete.
