Inspect the Apple Watch before paying. Check Activation Lock, pairing, battery, screen, buttons, speaker, mic, sensors, charger, and band.

Important: Never pay until the Apple Watch is unpaired from the seller’s iPhone, erased, and does not ask for the seller’s Apple Account.

Step-by-Step Inspection

Check Activation Lock

Ask the seller to unpair it from their iPhone. It must not ask for the seller’s Apple Account during setup.

Check pairing screen

The Watch should show the pairing screen. Try pairing it with your iPhone before paying if possible.

Check model and serial

Go to Watch app → General → About after pairing. Confirm model, serial number, storage, and cellular capability.

Check battery health

On the Watch, go to Settings → Battery → Battery Health. Prefer higher battery health for better value.

Test screen and touch

Swipe, tap, open apps, check brightness, scratches, cracks, dead pixels, ghost touch, and screen lines.

Test buttons

Press the Digital Crown and side button. Test scrolling, clicking, and responsiveness.

Test speaker and microphone

Make a test call or voice recording if possible. Check if speaker and microphone are clear.

Test sensors

Check heart rate sensor, workout tracking, raise-to-wake, wrist detection, and notifications.

Test charger

Place it on the charger and confirm it charges properly. Check if charging cable is original or working.

Check physical condition

Inspect casing, screen, crown, buttons, back sensor glass, band connector, scratches, dents, and water damage signs.
